The mission of this public/private non-profit is to preserve playa lakes, the shallow, round, seasonal lakes in six western states that are crucial for wildlife and replenishing the Ogallala Aquifer. Our solution to the inevitable question "what is a playa lake?" was to create a literal illustration from a bird's eye view.
